Mike is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who's spent the last 20 years directing critically acclaimed films and landmark series for the BBC, National Geographic and Discovery Channel. Mike is a passionate advocate in fighting plastic pollution, since first encountering it in the remote sub arctic environments whilst filming polar bears.
PRODUCER & CINEMATOGRAPHER — POPPY CHANDLER
Poppy is a multi-skilled producer and camerawoman, who’s spent the last 15 years making documentaries for all of the major UK and international broadcasters. Her work has a strong focus on human interest, environment and natural history stories. Growing up on a small island, Poppy has always had a love for the ocean and is passionate about protecting the natural world.
MUSIC COMPOSER — DR STEVE KILPATRICK
Steve is a composer and music producer best known for his compositions for the Resident Evil 6 and Racoon City trailers, the award-winning BBC Radio 4 drama Amazing Grace and his opera Flight Paths, commissioned as part of the 2012 London Olympics celebrations. His concert music, described as, “exploring the areas that lie between contemporary classical music and extreme metal”, has been performed internationally.
RESEARCHER - HELEN BARGMANN
Helen is an experienced researcher with a keen interest in environmental issues. Helen is a thrift store enthusiast and has long been concerned with the impact of the fashion industry on the environment, alongside working on Plastic Pioneers/Plastic Warriors, Helen is producing her first documentary on eco-fashion.
DESIGNER — JORDAN CARR
Jordan has worked across Europe as a multidisciplinary designer for many years. His passion lies in typography, and simple yet effective, graphic design. He not only has a passion for design but also nature and the environment. If you can't find him behind his screen you can find him hiking up a mountain, surfing the sea or racing his bike through the forrest. Alongside the team, he also shares a massive interest in protecting the ocean, the environment and the world we all live in
GRAPHIC DESIGNER - SORREL DE SOUSA
Sorrel is a talented and creative Graphic Designer with a keen eye for detail. Having worked and lived in Vietnam and now Portugal she draws influence from different cultures. As a surfer, ocean lover and mother, she’s on a mission to reduce her families plastic footprint and try to leave the world a better place for her daughter to grow up in.
