Single Use Plastic Bottles

RESUSE & Reduce your plastic footprint!

Engage with the issue today!

Take reuseables - coffee cups, fabric bags for fruit and veg etc. You probably already have containers at home you can repurpose.

Choose loose fruit and veg.

Choose loose leaf tea - majority of teabags contain a thin layer of polypropylene plastic.

Try soap nuts for your laundry - no empty plastic bottles at the end.

Reuse and freecyle by joining your local Freegle.

Support businesses that reuse.

Swaps like clingfilm for reusable food-wraps - heaps of videos how to make yourself & with material you already have!

Recycle - clean, sort and recycle if you can’t reuse.

Refuse- buy less stuff!

If you have a problem with a brand, write to them and explain your issue, or stop buying!

REDUCE YOUR MICROPLASTICS

Help prevent microplastics entering our rivers and oceans.

Choose eco friendly non-synthetic (aka not plastic!) clothes.

Washing clothes - wash at cooler temperatures (below 30°), don’t use a tumble dryer, use liquid washing detergent as it’s less abrasive on fabrics.

Opt out of beauty products with micro-beads, commonly listed as “polythelene” and “polypropylene”. Found in some face scrubs, toothpastes, beauty lotions, bodywash, suncream etc.
